The director general of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Yazd Province emphasized the effective role of hosting the meeting of ministers from Asian cooperation countries in enhancing trade, economy, and tourism in Yazd.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Yazd Province, highlighting the significant impact of hosting the meeting of ministers and ambassadors from the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) countries on the trade, economy, and tourism of the province, stated: “There are only a few months left to prepare Yazd for this hosting, and this requires the efforts of all relevant sectors.”
Seyed Mohammad Rastegari referred to hosting the multi-day meeting of ministers and ambassadors from ACD member countries in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Yazd, saying: ‘Fortunately, following Yazd’s selection as the capital of tourism for the member countries of this forum at the end last year, we have witnessed good actions and communications in hosting the ambassadors of these countries, and this year one of the most important actions on the agenda is hosting the meeting of these ministers, which is set to be held in November of this year.
The Director General emphasized the importance of holding this meeting, considering Yazd’s hosting of significant commercial and economic delegations from member countries, stating: ‘There are only a few months left to prepare Yazd for this meeting, and in this regard, we need the commitment of all provincial departments, especially the municipality.
Rastegari, noting that the funding for this meeting has been provided by the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture of Yazd Province, stated: ‘Hosting this event can undoubtedly play a significant role in boosting trade, economy, and tourism in Yazd Province. Therefore, all sectors must create appropriate and deserving conditions for this hosting.’
He mentioned that one of the necessities for enhancing tourism in the province is organizing events within this sector and said: ‘The prerequisite for this action, especially during the peak tourism season in the province—from September to mid-spring when the climate is favorable—requires synergy and inter-sectoral collaboration, as well as the utilization of all opportunities and events.’
The director general of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Yazd Province referred to events such as Yazd hosting the Asian Club Volleyball Championship in September and added: “Certainly, the boost in tourism will stimulate other sectors and even address many concerns of tourism facilities, including the prosperity of hotels, accommodation venues, and other related businesses.”
